The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation in Ridley Creek State Park will be open on Grandparent’s Day, Saturday, Aug.15, and will be offering half-price ($3) on one adult admission for all grandparents who come out accompanied by their grandchildren. The price for children 4-12 years is $4; children under 4 years of age are free.
The Plantation’s hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last entry at 4:30 p.m.. Lunch and souvenirs may also be purchased.
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is an independent nonprofit 18th-century living-history farm museum. It is most easily reached through the park’s Route 3 entrance just west of Newtown Square. Visit www.colonialplantation.org to learn more about this and other events.
