A group of about 10 residents from towns like Havertown, Springfield, Newtown and Marple stood on a bitter cold Saturday morning at the intersection of West Chester Pike and the Newtown Square Shopping Center with signs in hands against the proposed billboards coming to five local towns.
The sign holders are part of
www.nobillboards.com, a group of organized residents from Marple, Newtown, Haverford, Springfield and Morton townships, opposing Bartkowski Investment Group (BIG) who have submitted applications for a total of 22 billboards in the five townships.
