No Billboards In Havertown

Haverford Zoning Board Hearing
Thursday
August 19th
8:00 pm
Haverford Township Building
Darby Road, Havertown

EVERY VOICE COUNTS

Hearty attendance from all residents in all five communities shows our united opposition and supports our commissioners. Residents are strongly encouraged to attend these hearings and express your opinion of the proposed billboards ESPECIALLY those residents in close proximity of the proposed sites are especially important to defending our community. Pictures and approximate distance from the proposed sites and how these signs could/will impact our quality of life, health,
welfare and safety are extremely helpful. If you are shy about public speaking, you will only be supported by your fellow residents and Haverford Zoning Board allows you to testify as many times as you want. Here's an article from the last Zoning Board Hearing in Haverford:

Parkway Run and Family Fun Walk for Children's Cancer Research

Join the Friends of Daniel Cooper Team for the 2010 Parkway Run and Family Fun Walk for Children's Cancer Research, benefiting The Cancer Center at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The goal is a simple one - to support the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in finding cures for pediatric cancers that still elude us and to improve the health and lifestyle of pediatric cancer survivors for years to come.

Join us on Sunday, September 26, 2010 for a 5K Race and 2K Family Fun Walk that starts at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia and follows the scenic Ben Franklin Parkway down to the Art Museum and back.

When you sign up to run or walk, you'll be rewarded with the satisfying feeling that comes with doing something to help cure cancer in kids and you can enjoy a great Four Seasons buffet breakfast too. Every registered team member will receive a Team t-shirt, and a Parkway t-shirt. Team members need to be registered by Sept. 12th.
